도호쿠지방의관문으로고대부터발전한현으로신구쿠마노신사의나가도코와오우치주쿠등역사를간직한건축물도많다.반다이산이나오제,이나와시로호등자연의보고로알려져있다.Having developed as a gateway into Tohoku area from ancient times, Fukushima Prefecture has historical buildings such as Shingu-kumano Shrine and Ouchijuku. It is also known for its natural scenic spots such as Mt. Bandaisan, Oze and Lake Inawashiro.

1. 와라지 축제 Waraji Festival
후쿠시마를 대표하는 여름 축제로 매년 8월 상순에 개최된다. 시민의 건강한 다리를 기원하며 수십 명이 거대한 짚신을 메고 시내를 행진한다. "와라지(짚신)"는 볏짚으로 만든 일본 전통 신발.
This major Fukushima summer festival is held every year at the beginning of August. A dozen or so people march through the city with a giant straw sandal to pray for healthy feet for its citizens. “Waraji” is the word for this traditional Japanese footwear made of rice straw.

2. 소마노마오이 Soma Nomanoi Festival
매년 7월에 열리는 소마시의 축제로, 그 기원은 저 멀리 가마쿠라 시대까지 거슬러 올라간다. 갑옷을 입은 기마 무사 500여 기가 한자리에 모이는 광경은 박력이 넘친다! 마치 전국시대에 시간여행을 한 것 같다.
Held at the end of July in Soma City, this festival originates in the Kamakura Period. The sight of over 500 armored horsemen coming together at once is impressive! It will seem as if you have traveled back to the Sengoku Period.

3. 산노쿠라 고원 해바라기밭 Sannokura Plateau (Sunflower Field)
스키장 슬로프를 이용한 약 8헥타르의 경사면에 약 250만 그루의 해바라기 꽃이 만개한 모습은 압권이다. 아름다운 꽃 융단 끝에는 녹음이 우거진 아이즈 분지까지 한눈에 볼 수 있다.
It is stunning to see the 2.5 million sunflowers blooming on this ski slope of around 8 hectares. Ahead of the beautiful floral carpet, you can see the deep green of Aizu Basin.

4. 아즈마코후지 Mt. Azuma-Kofuji
해발 1707m, 절구 모양의 큰 분화구가 특징인 산으로 가벼운 트레킹 코스로 인기가 높다. 조도다이라에서 약 10분이면 화구벽까지 올라, 360도로 펼쳐지는 대 파노라마를 즐길 수 있다.
Featuring a big bowl-shaped crater, this 1,707m tall mountain is popular for light trekking. You can climb to the crater from Jododaira in about 10 minutes and enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view.

5. 벤텐누마 Benten-numa Lake
고시키누마(오색 습지) 중 두 번째로 큰 습지로 푸르게 빛나는 호수 면이 아름답다. 이곳은 넓고 밝아 멀리 아즈마 산맥까지 한눈에 볼 수 있다. 화산성 호수임에도 수생 식물이 자라는 것이 드물다.
The second largest of the 5 Goshikinuma Lakes, the surface of this lake sparkles with a beautiful blue. From here you have a clear, wide view extending to the far-off Azuma Mountains. This lake is unusual because aquatic plants grow in it even though it is an acidic crater lake.

6. 비샤몬누마 Bishamon-numa Lake
고시키누마(오색 습지)에서 가장 큰 습지로 많은 관광객이 찾는 인기 뷰 포인트.이곳에서 보이는 반다이산의 거친 화구벽과 나무로 둘러싸인 청록색으로 빛나는 잔잔한 수면의 대비가 인상적이다.
The largest of the 5 Goshikinuma lakes, this popular viewpoint is visited by numerous tourists. The contrast between the rough crater walls of Mt Bandai and the peaceful, sparkling, tree-bordered turquoise lake is impressive.
