AKITA

This Prefecture holds various traditional events, from the Kanto festival, the Namahage Demon festival and the Kamakura festival. With an abundance of nature from the World Heritage Site, Shirakami Sanchi to the cobalt blue and the deepest lake in Japan, Lake Tazawa (Tazawako). There are also hidden springs which hot spring lovers find irresistible and delicious local dishes such as Kiritanpo (skewered pounded rice) or Inaniwa Udon noodles.
