YAMAGATA
도호쿠의 일본해(동해) 측면에 있으며, 사쿠란보(앵두) 등의 재배가 활발한 과일 왕국으로 알려져 있다. 일본 3대 급류의 하나인 모가미강과 경계에 자리 잡은 자오산맥 등 아름답고 웅대한 자연이 매력적이다.Located on the Japan Sea side of Tohoku, Yamagata Prefecture is know for its production of fruits such as cherries. It’s also home to magnificent nature such as the Mogami River, one of Japan's three fastest-flowing rivers, as well as the Zao Mountain Range located near the prefectural border.

1. 사가에가와의 벚나무 가로수 Sagae River Cherry Blossoms
사가에가와 강과 모가미가와 강 합류 지점 부근의 제방을 따라 2.8km가 이어지는 벚나무 가로수. 맑은 강물과 일면의 벚꽃, 멀리 눈이 덮인 갓산, 아사히 연봉이 자리한 풍경은 그야말로 그림 같이 아름답다.
Along the embankment of Sagae River near where it meets Mogami River there is 2.8-kilometer stretch of cherry blossom trees. The beautiful scenery of the crystal clear water and walls of cherry blossoms against the distant snow-capped Mount Gassan and Mount Asahi looks just like a painting.

2. 교쿠쇼 벚나무 Kyokusho Sakura
드넓은 전원 풍경 속에 서 있는 수령 약 60년의 왕벚나무. 굵은 가지가 좌우로 크게 뻗어 있는 모습은 마치 요코즈나의 씨름판 등장 의식처럼 보인다. 주민들이 소중하게 보호해 온 '지역의 보물'이다.
Kyokusho Sakura is 60-year-old Yoshino cherry tree located in an expanse of rice fields. Its thick branches stretching out like arms bring to mind a sumo wrestler entering the ring. The tree is cherished and protected by locals as a local treasure.

3. 지조누마 늪 Jizo-numa Pond
갓산 기슭에 자리한 아름다운 늪. 봄부터 여름에 걸쳐 다양한 빛깔의 푸른 나무들이 수면에 비치는 아름다움은 비할 바가 없다. 주위를 돌아볼 수 있는 산책로와 가까운 곳에는 야영장도 정비되어 있다.
A beautiful pond located at the foot of Mount Gassan, from spring through summer it offers an incomparable picturesque view as trees of varying colors reflect on its surface. There are walking paths around the pond and a campground nearby.

4. 갓산 Mount Gassan
오이사와 지구는 물이 맑은 사가에가와 강과 한가로운 전원 풍경이 펼쳐지는 산속 마을. 이곳에서 사가에가와 강 상류 저 멀리 보이는 명봉 갓산은 특히 아름다워 인기 전망 포인트로 꼽히고 있다.
Oisawa is a mountain village with peaceful rice fields where the crystal-clear Sagae River flows. It is a popular viewing spot offering a particularly beautiful view of the magnificent Mount Gassan seen beyond the upper reaches of Sagae River.
