1. 벚꽃과 유채꽃 로드 Cherry and Rapeseed Blossom Road
현도 298호선 길가에 약 11km가 이어지는 벚나무 가로수. 유채꽃과 약 3,000그루의 벚나무의 개화 시기가 겹쳐서 연노랑색과 분홍색의 아름다운 경치가 끝없이 이어진다. 화려한 봄을 만끽할 수 있는 드라이브 코스로서 인기.
Cherry and Rapeseed Blossom Road is an 11-kilometer stretch on Prefectural Road 298 lined with rapeseed trees and about 3,000 cherry blossom trees. The scenery of pale yellow and vivid pink flowers seems to go on forever. It’s a popular drive course in the spring when you can take in the full beauty of the blossoms.

2. 오시라사마의 수양벚나무 Oshira-sama’s Weeping Cherry
하쿠산 신사 옆에 수령 약 200년, 높이 약 10m, 가지 폭 약 19m에 이르는 수양벚나무가 도리이를 껴안듯이 서 있다. 여유롭게 가지를 드리운 모습과 줄기의 굵기, 꽃의 색 모두 풍격을 갖춘 명품 벚나무라고 할 수 있다.
Next to Hakusan Shrine, there is a 200-year-old, 10-meter high, 19-meter wide weeping cherry tree that looks as if it is reaching down to the shrine’s torii gate. Named after a household deity, it is a magnificent tree with graceful drooping branches, a wide trunk, and splendidly colored flowers.

3. 다자와코 호수 Lake Tazawa
일본에서 가장 깊은 약 423.4m의 호수로, 햇빛이 물밑을 비추기 때문에 투명감이 있는 아름다운 유리색으로 장식된다. 고마가타케 등 아름다운 산들을 배경으로 수면에 서 있는 황금빛 상, 호수의 신 '다쓰코 상'도 꼭 보아야 한다.
Lake Tazawa is 423.4 meters deep, making it the deepest lake in Japan. When the sunlight shines on the bottom of the lake, the water turns a clear, vivid, azure blue. Another highlight of the lake is the golden statue of Tatsuko—a legendary maiden who was turned into the guardian dragon of lake—standing against the backdrop of beautiful Mount Komagatake and other mountains.

4. 기사카타 Kisakata
200년쯤 전에 발생한 지진으로 해저가 융기하여 현재와 같은 육지로 변모. 6월이 되면 일제히 물이 채워진 논에는 신록이 아름다운 명봉 조카이산이 수면에 비춰져 이 시기 특유의 아름다운 풍경이 펼쳐진다.
Once a group of islands, the entire area became land about 200 years ago when an earthquake caused the seabed to rise. One of the best times of the year to visit is in June when the rice fields are flooded—the spectacular Mount Chokai covered in lush new growth reflecting on the water is a truly beautiful sight.
